Notice of In-Water Activity – Summer 2026
This summer, TC Energy will be conducting offshore geotechnical work in Georgian Bay as part of ongoing pre-development studies for the Ontario Pumped Storage Project. This work will provide important information on the conditions of the lakebed, including soil and bedrock, to help inform the ongoing design of the Project.

Project Update — March 6, 2026:
Commencement of federal review process and initial public comment period
TC Energy has officially initiated the Government of Canada’s Impact Assessment process for the Ontario Pumped Storage Project, marking an important milestone in advancing the project. From March 6 to April 6, share your input with the federal government as part of the initial public comment period.

Notice of fieldwork and in-water activity – summer 2025
As part of continued pre-development work on the Ontario Pumped Storage Project, TC Energy will be conducting geotechnical investigations this summer at 4th Canadian Division Training Centre (4 CDTC) and in Georgian Bay. This work will provide information on the conditions of the soil and bedrock, helping to inform the ongoing design of the Project.

TORONTO, Ontario — Jan. 11, 2024 — News Release — TC Energy Corporation announced today that it will continue to advance the Ontario Pumped Storage Project (Project) with its prospective partner Saugeen Ojibway Nation, and begin work with the Ministry of Energy (Ministry) and the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), to establish a potential long-term revenue framework for the Project. Further, TC Energy and Saugeen Ojibway Nation will assist with the Ministry’s evaluation of the Project’s broader societal and economic benefits.
